We are honored to present a distinguished lineup of keynote speakers for the conference.
As highly respected figures in their fields, they
bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from across the globe.
Dr. Hyon-Gon Choo
Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Korea
[Keynote Speaker I | Jan 11 (Mon) 13:40-14:20]
Abstract This presentation introduces immersive media technology development and standardization efforts undertaken by ETRI’s Media Research Division. In particular, it highlights recent Gaussian Splatting service demonstrations and discusses future prospects for the technology.
Prof. Guoping Qiu
University of Nottingham, UK / University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC)
[Keynote Speaker II | Jan 12 (Tue) 10:00-10:40]
Abstract Powerful AI models, public datasets, and benchmark leaderboards have encouraged a model-first research pattern that can yield impressive benchmark results without improving our understanding of the real imaging problem. This talk presents a problem-first framework that distinguishes the physical imaging problem, solution principle, statistical estimator, and computational implementation, together with a six-stage workflow (problem formulation, image acquisition, information-loss analysis, assumptions, ambiguity, and evaluation) to be applied before model and dataset selection. Drawing on case studies in super-resolution and low-light enhancement, the talk also proposes clearer standards for evidence, reproducibility, uncertainty, and claims of state-of-the-art performance.
Prof. Yasuhiro Takaki
Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan
[Keynote Speaker III | Jan 12 (Tue) 13:10-13:50]
Abstract The holographic implementation of contact lens displays enables the generation of images that the human eye can focus on within a thin form factor. This paper provides an overview of a Japanese national R&D project dedicated to holographic contact lens displays.
